The lodge has 28 chalets in total. All rooms are air conditioned and have complementary tea and coffee.

  • Kwalata Lodge in Dinokeng

    Thatched Chalets

    All chalets offer rustic thatched accommodation. There are chalets with double beds, perfect for couples, as well as double and single beds in an open plan chalet which is suitable for famillies. There are also two-room chalets which can sleep 4 in total. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and some have outdoor showers.

General

The Lodge
Kwalata Lodge opened in 1994 and is now situated in the Dinokeng Game Reserve. The lodge is considered eco-friendly and prides itself on tourist activities that benefit and support the local communities. The lodge is able to host conferences and functions on request.

Check out time is about 10h30 and you will be taken back to your vehicle after that.

Directions from Johannesburg to the Kwalata Lodge

From Johannesburg:

Use the N1 towards Pretoria and Polokwane.
Drive on the eastern bypass, N1 to Polokwane.
Drive north on the N1 towards Polokwane. (Pietersburg).
Pass through the Pumulani toll Plaza
Past the N1 Petrol port
Off ramp 183: Hammanskraal/ Boekenhoutskloof
Take off ramp to the left
Turn right at T-junction towards Boekenhoutskloof
Follow the tar road onto a gravel road towards the Dinokeng game reserve entrance gate.
Welcome at the Ndlovu gate – Dinokeng game reserve
Continue straight
Kwalata – sign on your left turn left
Follow the road and signs for approximately 3 km on gravel road.
