Introduction

Leopardsong Game Lodge is a comfortable and intimate lodge set in the heart of the Pride of Africa Private Nature Reserve which forms part of the Dinokeng Game Reserve in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Dinokeng is a malaria-free reserve and is home to the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) as well as a diverse range of other mammals such as zebra, giraffe, kudu, hyena, wildebeest (and many more), and is a convenient 45 minute drive north of Pretoria or a 1 hour drive from OR Tambo International in Johannesburg.

This  lodge is set within a hundred hectares of safety fenced bush and many herbivores such as zebra, nyala, duiker, warthogs and impala roam the lodge grounds. Guests to the lodge can enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles through the Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve. These drives are led by experienced guides who readily share their knowledge and love of the African bush, and its flora and fauna, with their guests. On game drive, guests can look forward to early morning coffee and rusks stops, as well as sundowner stops on the late afternoon drives- in addition to incredible wildlife sightings.

The lodge prides itself on its excellent South African cuisine and its selection of the finest South African wines, with the lodge chefs also catering for a wide variety of dietary preferences such as vegetarian, halal and kosher meals. Dining takes place in the onsite dining room or under the stars, around the roaring campfire in the outdoor boma.  On occasion, guests can enjoy a traditional South African braai/ barbeque in the heart of the game park. In between game drives, guests can soak up the sun next to the sparkling pool at the lodge with a refreshing drink in hand, or indulge in relaxing spa treatment.

Accommodation

Leopardsong Game Lodge offers luxury accommodation comprising 8 thatched double chalets which offer stunning views over the lodge’s indigenous gardens and the surrounding bushveld. The rooms are spacious and feature African-inspired decor with wooden furniture and comfortable King-sized beds (an additional bed or mattress can be added as required, for children). The en-suite bathrooms have both a bath tub and shower, as well as a single vanity and WC. The rooms also offer a tea and coffee station, a bar fridge, hairdryer, ceiling fans, and are serviced daily.
